1942 Plebiscite and Conscription

Controversy over Conscription amidst Quebec and the Prime minister Mackenzie has disembarked. Quebecois have been in opposition to King Mackenzie's view on conscription ever since the First World War. On April 27th, 1942 King had held a plebiscite, a vote on a particular issue, in order to take Canada's perspective of conscription into recognition. The result of the vote has been a win for “yes” for winning the majority of votes. The Quebec feel deceived by King as he is now allowing conscription overseas service. In return of the censure Montreal citizens are holding riots to protest against the King's declaration. Mackenzie will not be able to avoid the issue of conscription any longer so citizens shall wait and see for his next act taken.
